Are you a seasoned and experienced Care professional? If so, were expanding our team and are looking for individuals just like you Cissbury Lodge provides care for children and young people who have a diagnosis of a Severe Learning Disability.
We are able to support children and young people with a wide range of physical, behavioural, social, communication, personal care and health needs associated with severe learning disabilities (such as autism and global developmental delay).
The children and young people accessing services at Cissbury Lodge are aged 7 : 18 years old; however, children and young people outside that age range can be supported in exceptional circumstances.
Due to continuing business success and growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Residential Child Care Worker to join the team, working in Worthing.
This is a permanent, full time role.
Residential Child Care Worker key responsibilities:
   You will maintain a nurturing, positive and safe living environment within the Unit, in order to meet the needs of the Children and Young People.
You will be alert to the needs, safety and well being of Children and Young People.
Responsibilities include:
   Participate in the development of care plans for individual Children and Young People.
Carry out regular observations and assessments of the Children and Young People.
Detailed report writing on a daily basis.
Work on a rota basis and undertake weekend working and sleeping in duties as required.
Periodic requirement for lifting and carrying, pushing or pulling items of moderate weight.
Use initiative to independently respond to unexpected problems or situations.
The ideal Residential Child Care Worker:
   You will have worked in childrens homes previously or have worked in the care sector.
Possess excellent people skills.
Be able to develop and maintain good working relationships Be able to demonstrate positive personal authority.
Have great communication skills.
Be willing to undertake additional Qualifications (Level 3 Diploma CYPW) and further training provided.
For the higher salary you will already have achieved this qualification.
This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check (formerly Criminal Records Bureau check) Please note that all care staff must be at least 21 years old.
No person can work in a childrens home unless they are at least 3 years older than the oldest child accommodated.
You will receive:
   As a Residential Child Care Worker, you will receive a basic salary of GBP 17, 772 : GBP 23, 398, plus weekend allowance of up to GBP 1, 566 and sleep in allowance of GBP 34.34 as required.
