A great position has arisen for a Residential Care Home Manager to join a Specialist Service located in Newtownabbey.
The facility is a residential autism service for people aged 18 and over that are living with learning disabilities, such as autism, dementia, learning disabilities and mental health conditions who may at times present behaviours that challenge.
They provide various residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.
The successful Manager will receive a competitive salary of GBP 45, 000 per annum with great additional benefits such as a pension scheme, childcare vouchers, retail and entertainment discounts and more.
As a Residential Care Home Manager, you will be leading a team of experienced and trained staff that support people with autism and are supported by a dedicated positive behaviour support specialist, as well as the specialist autism leads.
You will be providing innovative, creative support enabling people with mental health problems, autism and learning disabilities to live the lives they want and have the opportunities they deserve.
You will be expected to provide hands:
on support and strong leadership to a team who care passionately about the residents in their care.

Developing the home with a strong team, you must be confident in presenting your vision and creative ideas for the home and support the team to build on the home.
You will also support the business as well as your team to achieve the highest quality of performance against commercial and financial goals.

You will be expected to have a wealth of experience of working with adults in a residential setting who have a learning disability, autism, mental health issues and display behaviours that challenge.

You will be able to balance being \\\'on the floor\\\' with the staff and service users with your managerial position.
To be considered for this role you must either be a qualified Registered Nurse or have an NVQ qualification with managerial experience within a similar setting.
