*driven solutions against the challenges and opportunities of the 4th Industrial Revolution and with the objective of “Advancing the world’s eye health” Role Overview Keeler Group Sales and New Business Development Director is the key leadership position responsible for all aspects of sales operation and new business development and growth opportunities outside of the USA.
The purpose of this role is to plan and implement sales and new business acquisition activities in order to meet both the short and the longer term strategic objectives and to contribute as a board member, to the executive management and the strategy of the company.
Within this context, the Sales and New Business Development Director is expected to work closely with the MD and other members of the board to maintain and improve the core strength and capabilities of the group while helping and driving the transformation of the group into a digital healthcare company.
This may include development of new business model, new product offerings and new economic and sales models that may enhance customer relationships and customer ownership.
This will be done in conjunction with driving and delivering on the Keeler’s core business and helping to transition the company to deliver on its future aspirations.
In fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of the role, the Sales and New Business Development Director will provide leadership across the company and within Halma Medical Sector as well as leading the transformation of the company to become stronger in applications of digital health technology, artificial intelligence aided diagnostics and provision of software and digital communications in the eye health arena.
The role requires a very high level of team management and people and business development skills as the position involves taking direct report from at least 6 people including UK, India and China country managers and leading a team of up to 25 within an internationally focused sales, business development and distributor management organisation.
Full responsibility for effective deployment of all the sales resources according to agreed budgets and delivery of the budgeted sales and profit growth.
Forecasting and sales pipe line Management and effective contribution to Sales and Operations planning.
Close collaboration and working with the Strategic Marketing Director for implementation of marketing strategy, including advertising, PR, product placement etc, and close monitoring of the execution and effectiveness of the plans to ensure desired outcome.
Planning and implementation of sales and customer/distributor retention and development of strategy and effective executions of the plans.
Contribution to the formulation of the policy and strategy of the company.
Leading, motivating, training and further development of all the people in the department according to the company procedures, top grading technique and employment law.
Maintenance and administration as well as continuous evaluation and improvement of all the relevant reporting, planning, and assessment of all sales and customer related procedures and systems.
*active contribution to the company’s New Product and New market development activities.
Close working and collaboration with other Directors and sister companies or other partners to further develop and execute the company’s growth strategy and help the company to achieve its mission and ambition.
Candidate Overview Educational/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree, MBA or higher degrees would be an advantage. 10+ years of progressive sales experience. 5+ Experience in a senior sales and business development leadership position Experience in strategic planning and experience of close collaboration with distributors or OEM customers for business development.
